The number of venues in Ithaca and the Finger Lakes has increased dramatically, yet many do not advertise their facilities as a place to host an event.  We have the most comprehensive, personally-researched  list of venues you will find anywhere!

 

With detailed information covering an extensive list of hotels, inns, bed and breakfasts, restaurants, parks, wineries, and unique locations - many of which are not found on any on-line data base - we can:

Locate a specialized list of venues based on your vision, budget, number of guests, and other key criteria you may not have considered.

VENDOR REFERRALS AND SELECTION ASSISTANCE. We can help you find the right mix of vendors to satisfy your tastes and budget:  caterers, bakers, florists, rental companies, photographers, videographers, bands, singers, printers, officiators, beauty services, and more.   We can refer you to the right mix, or handle the arrangements for you.  (All individual contracts, however, are between you and the vendor.)  Let us save you time, money, and frustration. 

BUDGET PREPARATION.  We will meet with you to help you establish a realistic budget, understand the financial implications of the different choices you make, and offer suggestions if there is a discrepancy between your fabulous vision and your less than fabulous pocket book.  

GUEST SERVICES AND ACCOMMODATIONS.   Think of us as a local concierge!  We can arrange for accommodations at local hotels or inns, find the best group rates, prepare customized welcome booklets or baskets for your guests, and plan and arrange activities , events, and tours.  A fine chocolate tasting?  A wine tasting right at the hotel?  Visits to local art studios?  Talk to us about your needs and we'll go from there.

CEREMONIAL SERVICES.  If your event includes a ceremonial component, we can help you write and design your ceremony, and can even officiate at the service.  Click here for more information.

REHEARSAL DIRECTION.   If your event requires a rehearsal, we are happy to lead it.  We will walk you through all the steps and help everyone involved feel comfortable and confident in their roles.  Our goal is to remove the stress and anxiety from your special day.

PROGRAM CREATION AND PRINTING.  We can help you create invitations, printed programs, table place cards, and any other printing needs you may have. 

PERSONAL TOUCHES.  Regardless of size and scale, what makes an event really stand out are special touches that provide warmth and meaning.  What people often remember most are the recitation of a personalized poem, a slide show presentation, a memory quilt presented to the guest of honor, a scrap book or photo album lovingly prepared, or simply meaningful toasts appropriate to the occasion.  The possibilities are endless. We can help you figure out how best to create an atmosphere of warmth and caring.    

SPEECH AND TOAST WRITING.  Let us put words in your mouth!  If you or anyone involved in the celebration will be called upon to say a few words and don’t know what to say or how to say it, we can help you write a personal speech or toast.  We will ask you about the guest of honor and your relationship, and find out as much as we need to know to craft a message uniquely suited to the person being honored. 

A LA CARTE CONSULTATION.  If you want to coordinate and manage your own event but simply need help crafting your ideas, identifying vendors, or assistance with just a few tasks. Ceremonies and Event Planning of the Finger Lakes can meet with you on an hourly basis.  In addition to the services listed above, we can also help you create an event time line, develop a seating chart, design the aesthetics of your event, offer advice on reception customs, manage transportation needs, and be available for other consultation needs.
